CSM Capabilities

The South Charleston Stamping Facility now known as Charleston Stamping & Manufacturing plant has been supplying stampings and sub assemblies to automotive, heavy truck and other industries for many years. Part Manufactured by Charleston Stamping Facility The recent plant upgrades have made the plant a virtually new facility, well equipped for the production of a variety of parts and assemblies.

Capabilities range from parts with blank sizes between 4 & 100 lbs. Press lines range from 133" to two 180" bed press lines with lead off draw presses between 1600 and 3250 tons. In addition, there are four transfer presses to 1250 tons.

Component and weld assembly capabilities include exposed and unexposed parts in both steel and aluminum. Part characteristics include structural rails, pillars, internal panels, roofs, doors, quarter panels, floor panels and body sides.

Welding of aluminum and steel assemblies such as lift gates, doors, firewall and floor pan assemblies has been an area of exceptional process capability and excellence that differentiate CSM within a very technology driven industry.
